Ann Schmidt Run to Remember

I left this race yesterday feeling discouraged because I didn't meet my time goal and I was sure I didn't place. My husband (it was his first race) beat me by a whole minute and I'm very proud of him but I still felt like I FAILED. We stayed around for the amazing breakfast and some games but left before the awards.

This morning I got up to a message from a friend telling me I placed 2nd in my age group! Her message made my morning.

I REALLY wanted to place in this race. It's the first time I've ever placed in any race and I'm thrilled!



P.S. My husband place 3rd in his age group and like I said before...it was his first race. :o) I am so proud of him!
