First Time EVER!!!

First place!!!! I had to run a 5k, then Rich biked 12.5 miles, then I ran another 5k. It was so much fun. If you live locally check out "TRI" For Acts of Kindness and give it a go next year...it will be well worth it.

I don't know our over all finish time...it was someplace around 1:42:00 Rich did really well on the bike ride...he said he never got passed, but passed lots of people. I was slower than the TWO...(yes, they had two runners)...of the second place team but Rich was 10 minutes faster than their biker so we totally won!!!

I think this was the best event I've ever been a part of. The coordinators really went out of their way to make sure everyone had a good time and everything was safe. They were even shoveling sand off the bike route in the middle of the night because rain flooded the area and the sand built up.

We got a goody bag at packet pick up AND finishers bag filled with treats after the race. Plus a finishers medal AND a place medal. AND I won a $50 gift cert. to Trisports in the raffle! All around wonderful event and I'm doing it again next year.

The little one is the finishers medal and the big one is the gold 1st place medal. I've never had one of those before. :o)
